Kariyar girgiza ta aji na biyu (SPDs) suna taka muhimmiyar rawa wajen kare tsarin lantarki daga hazo da kuma wuce gona da iri na ɗan lokaci. An tsara waɗannan na'urori ne don kare kayan aiki masu mahimmanci da kayan aiki daga lalacewa da walƙiya, makullan wutar lantarki, da sauran matsalolin wutar lantarki ke haifarwa.
Ɗaya daga cikin manyan ayyukan SPD na Aji na II shine ikon samar da kariya ta biyu daga hauhawar ruwa wanda wataƙila ya wuce babban kariyar a ƙofar shiga sabis. Wannan kariya ta biyu tana da mahimmanci don tabbatar da aminci da amincin tsarin lantarki a cikin gidaje, kasuwanci da masana'antu.
